ANTI AGING EYE CREAM
Anti aging cream is supposed to work against the facial signs of aging like crows feet, fine and deep wrinkles, loss of tone and firmness, loss of smoothness, etc. The human skin protects itself daily against various stresses by reproducing the top layer cells. Aging however is a non-reversible process and affects the whole body, not just the skin. An anti-aging cream can provide external nourishment to the skin. It is also important to maintain a diet that promotes good skin health like eating lots of fruits and the fluid intake levels. A good diet, an active lifestyle, some exercise can maintain us in a young and fit position for longer periods of time.
ANTI AGING CREAM INGREDIENTS
Alpha Hydroxy Acid
The acid concept is based on the idea of removing the dead tissue debris that is formed as the skin regenerates itself. Also called exfoliation, this can also be done using peels. Such products are recommended for occasional use as the acids can have drying effects on the skin.
CoEnzyme Q10
Our skin contains a coenzyme called Q10 that is depleted as the skin ages. Formulations containing the enzyme try to restore the normal levels back into the skin to regain elasticity and firmness.
Biotin, a natural ingredient is sometimes combined to strengthen the epidermis for a firmer and smoother look.
Retinol
Retinol is simply vitamin A in its purest form. A topical use on the skin is supposed to regenerate collagen fibers and increase both elastin, and even provide antioxidant defense.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants are a variety of chemicals that occur naturally in fruits and vegetables. These have been shown to combat free radicals that roam in the blood causing damage to tissues and leading to aging symptoms.
The vitamins A, C, and E, and compounds called carotenoids (e.g. lutein and beta-carotene) are some of the better known antioxidants. Antioxidants bond with free radicals that are produced due to pollution, smoke, and other toxins in our environment. Antioxidants can be a healthy part of your diet in the form of fruits and vegetables. They are now also used in anti-aging creams for external application.
